The Shroff family’s legacy as pioneers in professional eye care in northern India traces back to Dr. S. P. Shroff, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, U.K., who initiated ophthalmological work in Delhi in 1914. In 1926, he established “Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital” in Daryaganj, Delhi, marking the inception of the region’s first-of-its-kind eye hospital equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and facilities available at the time. 

This tradition of excellence was seamlessly carried forward by his son, Dr. Minoo Shroff, and subsequently by his grandsons, Dr. Noshir Shroff and Dr. Cyrus Shroff, at Shroff Eye Centre. Today, with the addition of Dr. Daraius Shroff and Dr. Rushad Shroff, the legacy of unparalleled eye care continues into the fourth generation.
